Student Experience

REGISTRATION – During registration, professors will choose to sign-up students in single-player or multi-player mode. Once the experience starts, students will work to quickly to brand their boutique marketing agency. This will include a company name, slogan, and logo. Student agencies will act as the agency-of-record (AOR) for The Posh Hotel & Casino, a 188-room boutique property located on the Las Vegas Strip. As they work to meet a tight deadline from a luxury resort, students will make creative and strategic decisions to maximize the announcement of two new additions to its resort offerings. 

STORYLINE – On the first day of the experience, students begin by reviewing the Storyline Video (1:46). They will be introduced to their simulated client and learn about The Posh Hotel & Casino’s more than $150 million worth of additions and renovations, including the new 10,000-square-foot, tattoo mega-studio, and a new luxurious salon & spa. They also will hear from the CEO explaining the task at hand. 

DECISIONS – Students will make a variety of creative decisions for two new “resort offerings”: Tattoo Mega-Studio and Salon & Spa. Their work will have a major impact on brand identity and driving sales through strategy, creativity, and collaboration. Successful students will carefully consider the impact of their marketing plan — and whether it is aligned with their overall strategy.

CMS – Our curriculum management system is a modern interface that features enhanced visuals and supporting videos to help students effectively manage their assignments through a transparent and easy-to-use workflow.

COURSE LEVEL – This single-player or multi-player experience immerses students in the fundamentals of running a creative agency in the Las Vegas marketplace. The experience can serve as an introduction or capstone to any course level or class type listed above in our overview (#1).

LEADERBOARD – A real-time leaderboard is used to increase the level of competition.  Live results are available throughout the duration of the experience for the instructor to review and discuss.

GAMIFICATION – It would not be a Las Vegas experience without “Chips” (points) and “Comps” (rewards). As students’ complete assignments and optional bonus challenges, they receive chips based on assignment scores. As those chips stack up, they can unlock competitive advantages along the way, keeping the competition fierce and the students engaged.

BONUS CHALLENGES – This flexible learning environment ensures students have enough time to complete the required assignments (#6), while also giving them the opportunity to earn bonus points through various challenges (optional). Each bonus challenge is designed to be completed in 30 minutes or less and ranges in topics.

Administrative Tools

PROFESSOR PORTAL – A variety of tools and built-in reporting will support instructors as they track and understand class performance from one location. Access to this data helps professors form their own competitive analysis and evaluate individual or team effort.
